2008 FEE SCHEDULE 


1) UTILITIES PERMIT:

  • Removal and/or replacement of Utility Poles shall require a permit issued by the Borough Secretary at a charge of $l0.00 per pole.
  • Borough Secretary shall be notified of utility company supervisor�s name and phone number as well as location of removal and/or replacement of utility poles. Permit must be applied for as well as paid for prior to work being started.
  • Repair and/or replacement of utility lines shall require a permit approved by Borough Council President at a fee of $10.00 per permit.
  • The following information shall be required to be filed with the Borough Office prior to permit being issued: Utility Company, Land Owner, Location, Supervisor, Phone Number.


2) CONDITIONAL USE FEE OR ANY OTHER ACTION:

$500.00 deposit to cover the cost of advertising the public hearing and posting the affected property, with any amount left in the deposit returned to the applicant after the decision is reached. Deposit shall be received by the Secretary prior to the scheduling of the public hearing-whether at council meeting or separate public hearing.

 3) ACTION BEFORE THE ZONING HEARING BOARD:

$500.00 for any Variance requested for any actions before the Zoning Hearing Board to cover the cost of advertising the public hearing, posting property if necessary, and paying expenses of stenographer fee, recording secretary, Zoning Enforcement Officer and the Zoning Hearing Board Members. Deposit fee shall be received by the Secretary of the Zoning Hearing Board prior to scheduling of the public hearing, with any amount left in the deposit returned to the applicant after the decision is reached.


4) ZONING SECRETARY DUTIES PERFORMED:

The Secretary shall be paid wages set by the Board for the duties he/she performs for the Zoning Hearing Board, whether it is for the regular meetings or special hearings. Total hours accumulated will be submitted to the Council for approval at the December Council meeting, unless other arrangements have been made.

5) ZONING HEARING BOARD MEMBERS:

The three (3) Board members, one (1) alternate member & Zoning Officer shall be paid $25.00 per meeting attended. If a hearing and a regular meeting fall on the same night, they will be paid the maximum $25.00 for both meetings attended. The Zoning Hearing Board Secretary will submit an itemized bill for Borough Council to approve at its December meeting, unless other arrangements have been made.

 6) CONNOQUENESSING BOROUGH COMMUNITY PARK FEES:

  •  Fees shall be as follows and may be amended by resolution as Borough Council sees fit.  See Park Rules and Reservation form for additional information.
  •  BASEBALL FIELD:  The Borough Office shall be supplied a schedule prior to the start of the season of any of league teams practices and/or games, as well as contact name for league, address & phone number for contact reasons.  
  • PARK SHELTERS:  Reservations may be made at any time.  Permits for the use of any recreational facility will be issued on/or after January 1 of the year in which they are requested for the Borough of Connoquenessing residents, non-residents or organizations.
  • Upper/Lower Shelters                      $ 75.00/per shelter 
  • Whole Park:                                      $150.00/both shelters 

 Whole Park shall include use of the ball field, both shelters, volleyball court, & basketball courts only.  Playground equipment and any other areas not mentioned are open to the public to use on a first come, first serve basis as well as use by the renters.

7) NO LIEN LETTERS:

No Lien/Lien Letters are requested by financial institutions and/or real estate companies to be completed by Connoquenessing Borough as well as by the Borough Real Estate /Wage Tax Collectors. $20.00 shall be charged per letter if given a two (2) week notice. If a letter is needed within seven (7) days, $40.00 shall be charged. The fee is payable to the Borough at the time of the clients closing.  The Borough Council President, Council Vice President and Secretary are authorized to sign the Connoquenessing Borough No Lien/Lien Letters.


8) RECYCLING CONTAINERS:

The first container for recycling will not be charged. Each additional bin shall be $5.00.


9) SOLICITATION PERMIT:

Businesses shall contact the Borough Office and obtain an application. The application shall be filled out and returned to the Borough Office for final approval by Connoquenessing Borough Council. The fee for this permit shall be as follows: (see Ordinance #13)

11) SEWAGE INSPECTIONS:

13) BUILDING PERMIT, REMOVAL OF STRUCTURE, OCCUPATIONAL USE, AND ZONING OFFICER FEES:

14) COPIES OF ANY PUBLIC INFORMATION:

Any photocopies of public information requested by anyone are to be charge at a rate of$.25/copy.


15) LANDLORD YEARLY FEE:

Each and every landlord will pay a yearly $5.00 fee and provide the renter information by March 31 and September 30 or when a renter moves in.

16) SEWAGE ACCESS DENIAL LETTER FEE:

 If a letter is required to address a public sewage tap-in request from outside the borough limits, a $10.00 fee will be charged

17) SIGN PERMIT FEE:

An application is required before installation of any sign and must be obtained from the Borough Secretary with payment of $20.00 at the time application is made.
